Schools & Childcare

Middlewich offers excellent education facilities comprising several primary schools, and its own Middlewich High School. We also have fantastic connections with four local colleges and a nearby university.

Middlewich has three primary schools. These are Middlewich Primary School, Cledford Primary School and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School. All three of our primary schools have an Ofsted rating of “Good”, with some having elements of their performance deemed as “Outstanding”. Our town has one mixed-sex high school, Middlewich High School, which dates back to 1906 and is located in the very heart of Middlewich’s residential district. Middlewich Town Council works with all four schools, who are all active in the local community and get involved with our projects and events.

The town is within close proximity to two “Outstanding’ Ofsted rated colleges, Sir John Dean’s Sixth Form College and Mid-Cheshire College, both in Northwich. Middlewich also has great links with South Cheshire College in Crewe and Reaseheath College in Nantwich, meaning that young people in Middlewich have access to excellent levels of education and varied learning opportunities. Middlewich is also just 15-20 minutes drive from Manchester Metropolitan University Crewe Campus.
